We have seen a lot of clocks made from recycled computer parts, but this is definitely one of the cleanest. The recycled Apple iBook G4 Clock is made of a recycled iBook G4 made case, and used an Apple mouse for the clock pendulum.

The whole thing measures 14 inches wide and 18 centimeters in height, and even a quartz movement and pendulum movement. It runs on 2 AA batteries. You can not really call himself a geek, if you like something in your apartment.

HDMI 1.4’s 3D spec made public

The HDMI organization has the 3D part of its available 1.4 spec made for public download. HDMI v1.4 specification was finalized in June 2009, but was only for companies that had signed an HDMI Adopter Agreement. The announcement on Wednesday makes the new benchmark for all other content producers and manufacturers.

The group also stated that an update is called for the specification 1.4a, will be released in the near future, possibly transmitted to a mandatory 3-D formats address. The group had announced in December 2009 that would be HDMI v1.4 support for 3D content without the broadcast component to add.

HDMI v1.4 contains several protocols for 3D display technologies, including frame, line, or a field of alternative methods, side by side display modes and 2D plus depth methods. It also contains data for the first time, and provides a 100 Mbps Ethernet port and two-way audio signals.
