Miles Davis has himself a pair of Monster Cable headphones

Monster Cable nor a pair of headphones, which are emblazoned with the name of a famous musician. And you would have me thinking that this artist is Miles Davis.

They are the headphones as part of the Miles Davis tribute set to find the said headphones and a super-de-Dooper deluxe copy of the famous jazz album of the man’s Kind of Blue (Note: I know nothing about jazz, but I also have heard Kind of Blue). This deluxe version comes with a DVD, linear notes, yada yada yada.

So, basically we have a few Monster Cable headphones with a Miles Davis logo and a trendy version of his most famous album.

Q-SOUND Solar-powered Headphones

Monday 25 May 2009 @ 11:00 am

Q-SOUND Solar-powered Headphones

Of course, this is not the first time that we reported on solar-powered devices, for digital audio players (DAPS), but the Q-Sound, a concept that is part machine and part Headphones Headband, definitely makes the most of the time when the sun is beating on the head.As you can see, solar cells are directly on the user’s Crown valuable radiation absorbing power. Some of you might wonder how these solar cells can be bent, though most are generally flat and stiff, but these cells are made of flexible plastic, with silicon solar cells.

The Q-SOUND includes Bluetooth, which allows the user to synchronize their Bluetooth-enabled mobile device for some wireless sound measures. Not only can the user listen to their music, but he or she can also receive calls from any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. When Bluetooth is not on the mobile device is in use, a cable connection is also possible with the included 3.5-mm jack.

Stephen Shepeleff, designers of the Q-Sound, has said that one hours sunlight is sufficient to provide the user with 2.67 hours duration. The headphones should be able to forty hours for free with the two removable NiMH battery pack.

Time will show whether this concept a reality, but I would not be surprised if the demand for solar-powered mobile devices increases in a “greener” world.
