Game Peripherals Coming to iPhone, iPod Touch

An amazing little feature was in a very short hype during the week – if not months – before the possible release of OS 3.0. After the iPod touch software download page, the new operating system will not only unlocks the previously non-activated Bluetooth function, but says that it will support third party accessories. Connect fun new game accessories on the iPod touch 30-pin connector and Bluetooth, “reads the website. This means that players will see the controls eventually broke away from the touch screen and a snap-on peripherals are. This also means that the iPhone andiPod Touch will now be a greater threat to Nintendo DS and Free PS3 handheld DSi PSPgo portable devices.

A company started the development of a peripheral game pad, which iControlPad. The latest update – for 20 January dates – shows the device to work with the iPhone, iPhone 3G and Free iPod Touch. “Your iPhone just slides and locks to be held over the serial port, there are no changes required, and you can always remove it again,” the company’s blog. “This is iControlPad already some of the largest iPhone developer support (including ZodTTD – PSX, GBA emu etc.) and we send out units that several others.”

For now, Apple has not officially announced to establish any agreements with third parties to game peripherals and a Free MacBook. Due to the amount of power needed for the display of graphics and Bluetooth, it would be more likely that the serial peripheral interface on older iPhone and iPod Touch would-use models, while the use of Bluetooth (on the iPhone 3G later, the S supposed to be a longer battery life).

Easy Piano for Nintendo DS

Saturday 1 August 2009 @ 9:19 am

Easy Piano for Nintendo DS

I’m not sure what it is with video game accessories in those days. It’s almost like you can not live without a successful game. It appears that Easy Piano has stolen a page from the Guitar Hero Playbook by a forged deed with her game.

You will notice that the eight full-octave keyboard peripheral that attaches directly to the DS itself, and they are to play is of course part of the game. The result looks like a sliced section of a Casio keyboard.

Finally, the user will be able to play one octave to the value of Mozart, Beethoven, and other fare such as “Bohemian Rhapsody” or “Jingle Bells”. It also includes a recording function, so that players can create their own one-octave hits.

I’m sure you noted hint of sarcasm in my last paragraph. I think it is because I believe that when you become a “Piano Hero” type game, you can not be a keyboard with 88 keys? In this way, the players could play the piano for real, after he or she is finished playing the game, as opposed to the instruments on rock band.

See, video games can teach you something. If you want to check it yourself, then you have to wait until November.

DJ Hero turntable controller

DJ Hero turntable controller

Activision’s new rhythm game franchise, DJ Hero will start this fall in addition to the fifth installment of the Guitar Hero and kiddie-safe Band Hero.

DJ Hero, as the wasted, changes tack from the traditional plastic guitars and drums, so you can record a copy to your games. Press the pictures on the right side to see the first official photos of the new peripherals.

As you can see, there is a small selection of colored buttons in the same way as the other band in peripheral Hero Activision’s Line-Up. While it is nice to see them in high-detail glory, we can not help think it looks a little too easy. Of course, we do not yet know how the gameplay is going to work or the kind of nimble fingers athletics, you have to deal with the three buttons.

It was also noted that Activision has been carefully hidden something there. Note how you can not see the bottom right of the controller in either image? Rates could have a crossfader. And that could mean connecting a few decks and fade between them. That would clear our complaint about the lack of buttons.

If Activision is feeling particularly crafty, it may even be possible, a microphone MC conncect for some action. We keep the fingers crossed.

Activision has revealed that the track list is a series of DJ-centric genres like Hip-Hop, R & B, Motown, Electronica and Dance.
