The BD player C6500 offers the possibility of Blu-ray in full 1080p HD video playback with Dolby Digital sound, and there are over HDMI, S-Video, optical and 7.1 analog audio. What is really interesting about this player but it is the integration with the Internet and online media.

connected Samsung Blu-ray player has a very quick, 15 second boot time and has a built-in WiFi adapter for the home network. (There is also a Cat-5 cable connection if you would like to connect it directly.) This is an important thing to note, as a number of Blu-ray player to be released recently “WiFi ready”. WiFi ready means they usually have a USB port available, where to buy a WiFi adapter plug, which you separately to a wireless connection. If you go wireless, you might want to compare construction costs and the trouble with a WiFi adapter in planning such as the BD-C6500.

In our test, we have a WEP secured wireless connection, which was relatively easy to connect. The player walked us through the steps and found our wireless broadcast, and then we were in the key by an on-screen keyboard that can be navigated using the remote control in place.

Once connected, could the Samsung Internet @ TV functions, which contain a limited number of applications at this point. Applications include Netflix, Pandora, Blockbuster and YouTube, as well as a weather and news channel. The interface appeared to make room for search and navigation, many other applications, but there were few at this point.

We need to Netflix and Pandora accounts and watched some YouTube videos connected by the player, and all were easy to use and worked well, provided you have at least a 1.5 m Connector (the system is a tool to keep your speed and test). Connecting to our Netflix and Pandora accounts was actually very easy and fast. Instead of logging into the account via the on-screen interface, offering the Samsung player software and a code to enter on our accounts online on a separate computer. This made all of the application made, where we had a comfortable keyboard. Once the codes were entered by our computers, Blu-ray player in the Internet @ TV software confirmed the action, and we were off and running in seconds.

Samsung has additional features along with Samsung Apps, some on the players and some yet to come, that allow streaming media from your own site from Samsung and the ability to more media from a USB drive or the exchange of information (with access Allshare ) between the devices or your computer on your home network. Watching Media Streaming of Netflix were of good quality and was easy to operate. Pandora and YouTube also had two beautiful, easy to use interface and works very well.

We wanted to find that has to navigate the Internet @ TV on all of them had a small delay after pressing a button on the remote and do not snap to the next screen, as we would like to, but we once used to the slight delay was To work around pretty easily.

Of course Blu-ray movies by watching the BD-C6500 provided a great picture and was easy to control. The player itself has also a nice, sleek design with the disc tray cleverly hidden behind some trim. We had to push really eject, only to find the opening for the tray.

Overall, we found the BD-C6500 to a great player with automatic update capability, which will be to keep giving to online features. It’s a nice solution to both a high-quality Blu-ray disc player and a bridge to the online digital media on your TV to bring in a package. The features it has seemed to work well and worth $ 249 price tag, and we look forward to other services by Samsung Apps and Internet @ TV.
