Samsung HT-BD1250 Blu-ray Home Theater System Review
DVD home theater in a box systems from specifications seem to offer much that is valuable, but often very frustrating to use, with a dull audio and video from the norm. While our experience with Blu-Ray HTIBs was just the opposite, and almost all the systems we’ve tested this year to offer legitimate home theater and Samsung HT-BD1250 (street price as low as $ 500) is the best budget system so far. We were fully expecting lifeless sound upon our review of the Samsung HT-AS730, and the HT-BD1250 proved our prejudices wrong, offering a reliable sound quality even with stereo music – a hard feat HTIBs. Its built-in Blu-Ray player as good as standalone Samsung BD-P3600 and streaming options like Netflix and Pandora must fully complement your physical collection of information. We have been carping about the ease of design (although the system looks good), and, like all the Blu-Ray HTIBs at this price, it lacks HDMI inputs – you’ll need to go to the Samsung HT-BD3252 and LG LHB977, if you want HDMI connection. But these disadvantages outweigh the advantages of the system. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than competing systems budget, but if you can save extra bucks, Samsung HT-BD1250 well worth it.

Design
HT-BD1250 is a 5.1 system, including the Speaker of the package consists of four identical, small speakers for the front surround speakers, a slim center channel speaker and subwoofer.
Four speakers shelf sit 8.3 inches, and stand built on the base. Before the speaker glossy black finish, and the remaining corpus matte black. Looking through the speaker grill, you’ll see a rare look at the speaker HTIB: a tweeter and woofer. Speakers are not as small as the ones included with the Blu-Ray HTIBs Panasonic, but we do not consider them overwhelming.

The central canal is a tiny, came to only 11.8 inches wide by 1.9 inches by 2.7 inches only, and should easily fit into any TV. It consists of two unusual, rounded-rectangular shape of drivers, but Samsung does not provide more information about the dynamics. Subwoofer average size for HTIB, but it sounds bigger than it looks – more on that in the performance section.
The main receiver / Blu-Ray player combo device has a design that looks like a spot on the floor salon, but the kind of pain as soon as you get it home. The front panel has a trapezoidal shape that the candles on the bottom. It is covered with glossy black finish, and the top of the device awash in dark red Samsung’s “Touch of color”, is a special kind, although it is a magnet for fingerprints.

We were impressed with the less functional elements of the design. The device looks like the buttons, but it is only because the controls are touch-sensitive buttons located on the top of the device. We are not fans of touch buttons to start (although they work very well), but the overhead makes it even more difficult to use, you need to see the markings to know where to click and if the device is in a cabinet that can be difficult.
The receiver / Blu-Ray combo device more interesting to look at than actually used. The top position at the touch buttons means that you have to bend the device to them, as well as the position of the circular volume control makes it difficult to stack components on top of the BD-HT1250.
Even worse, the volume control. Instead of pens, have an apartment, spinnable disk on top of the player, an inch or two from the front panel. If you think laying on another device, HT-BD1250, a cable or game console, you will be blocked access to the volume knob. This is not a problem at any of the other HTIBs Blu-ray we’ve reviewed.
Supplied Remote Control gets almost everything right, but with one exception. Basics of good: there is a large directional panel eject button, the button rockers volume and configuration, as well as the play button Braille type Nubs to make it easier to navigate by touch. Problem: The two major navigation Blu-ray of a button – a pop-up menus and menu drive – the tiny play button at the bottom, which makes them difficult to find.

Features
built-in HT-BD1250 Blu-Ray player, in fact all the same functions as stand-alone BD Samsung in-P3600, with the exception of 7.1 analog outputs. You can read the full review for more information, but the main point is it has full Profile 2.0 compatibility onboard decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as streaming content like Netflix and Pandora. You need to connect to the internet to access BD-Live function, or Netflix / Pandora; HT-BD1250 has an Ethernet-port for a wired connection, and it is also compatible with Samsung LinkStick WIS09ABGN key USB Wi-Fi, even though his $ 80 price makes this option much less attractive.
