Kanex prices, details HDMI to Mini DisplayPort converter
Apogee has officially announced that it promised Kanex-branded HDMI to Mini DisplayPort converter. It allows users to connect any HDMI source device to a 27-inch iMac, LED Cinema Display or other Apple device, which has an MDP input. This Sourches as the PS3, Xbox 360 or include Blu-ray player and the device will pass through audio-, two-channel speaker of the iMac. It supports HDMI 1.3 and DisplayPort/Mini DisplayPort 1.1a.
Some limits apply depending on the source. The maximum resolution for the regular DVI is 1920×1200, consoles are reportedly sending a native 720p limited. In addition, the adapter for video pass-through can only lead and no scaling.
Kanex The adapter is expected that I would ship sometime in April. It is also the interface itself, and a 3-foot-MDP cable.
