Verizon has confirmed today that the HTC Droid Eris get an Android OS update to 2.0 in early 2010. The upgrade will come, though not the phone with Android 1.5 Sending and receiving direct assurance that it will be updated to reflect on the Motorola Android 2.0 Droid.
With the OS upgrade, Eris Google Maps is receiving navigation, along with the other advantages of Android 2.0. The Eris uses a 3.2-inch screen and a trackball, and a 5-megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi. It uses HTC Sense UI interface and Flash support in your browser.
