Game Peripherals Coming to iPhone, iPod Touch

An amazing little feature was in a very short hype during the week – if not months – before the possible release of OS 3.0. After the iPod touch software download page, the new operating system will not only unlocks the previously non-activated Bluetooth function, but says that it will support third party accessories. Connect fun new game accessories on the iPod touch 30-pin connector and Bluetooth, “reads the website. This means that players will see the controls eventually broke away from the touch screen and a snap-on peripherals are. This also means that the iPhone andiPod Touch will now be a greater threat to Nintendo DS and Free PS3 handheld DSi PSPgo portable devices.

A company started the development of a peripheral game pad, which iControlPad. The latest update – for 20 January dates – shows the device to work with the iPhone, iPhone 3G and Free iPod Touch. “Your iPhone just slides and locks to be held over the serial port, there are no changes required, and you can always remove it again,” the company’s blog. “This is iControlPad already some of the largest iPhone developer support (including ZodTTD – PSX, GBA emu etc.) and we send out units that several others.”

For now, Apple has not officially announced to establish any agreements with third parties to game peripherals and a Free MacBook. Due to the amount of power needed for the display of graphics and Bluetooth, it would be more likely that the serial peripheral interface on older iPhone and iPod Touch would-use models, while the use of Bluetooth (on the iPhone 3G later, the S supposed to be a longer battery life).
