Garmin is a big name in the GPS market and devices for most categories, including land, sea and air produces oriented devices. The latest Garmin GPS offering is the new era line that go out of the car into the air can, without a beat.

All models feature a 5-GHz Update for near real-time GPS updates page. The aviation side, the device provides terrain and obstacle data, together with private airport data. The 550 and 560 add other features such as XM radio capabilities and faster terrain and obstacle to update. The ability of the XM 510 and 560 require an optional DC adapter with a built-in antenna.
