DialKeys Gen 2: On-screen Keyboard for UMPCs

Without doubt one of the best parts of getting a new handheld device examines all software tools which can be added to use as good as it can be. I have some of the utilities that I’ve found to work well with Viliv S5 I enjoy, and now I get another to share.

You may remember the DialKeys on-screen keyboard utility from the original Origami UMPC days. DialKeys was preinstalled on the “official” Origami devices, in fact, it was the only way to run the program. Today I have to think about DialKeys and wondered if it is still available, so I went out on the Internet and found it.

DialKeys is a keyboard, originally scheduled for 7-inch UMPCs with touchscreen and had a unique semicircular shape, with the QWERTY keyboard in the bottom two corners of the screen. Give It was a simple tap, and it works amazingly well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Gen 2 DialKeys, but still so much more. It comes with a number of keyboard skins in all sizes and functions, and they have a ton of packaged program in the program.

There are many window functions directly into the keyboard, making it easy to control it right from the keyboard. There are ways of scrolling in the keyboard, too, and the coolest is, how can you numbers from the alpha keyboard by using the top row and stopping on the number you want. Very well done, and I’m not even a tiny fraction of the capabilities of the program with the short time that I had with her.

The round corner keyboards are still there, but there are many different skins available. There are regular on-screen keyboard for those who prefer a traditional QWERTY, and there are special utility skins that a full suite of system tools available. It is a 21-day free trial is available, to see how you like it, but if you like me, you can buy them at the end after a few hours. The program is a little expensive, at $ 24.95, but I found it so useful to me after the money for the unlocked version.

Please note that most of the keyboard work in either landscape or portrait mode. Screenshot on the small screen of the S5:
