Voigtländer’s New Folding Medium Format Bessa Due Soon

One place the film on digital still result in the medium format field, especially for amateur photographers. With the right specialist, large-sensor camera bodies for $ 1500 and higher, savings in the film only be felt when you shoot a lot of pictures. The best way is to create a cheap, second-hand model, but if you do not pre-Finger goods, you can use the new Voigtl der Bessa III, as in the shops in May.The camera can switch between two side conditions, 6×6 to 6 x7, at 120 or 220 roll film. The outstanding feature is the bellows, which fold out to the lens, but also a fairly compact box – compact to medium format, at least, how this thing is not fitting into a normal pocket.
The data are decidedly old school: a shutter speed of 4 – 1/500 sec, mid-metering, aperture priority and manual modes and, and that’s it. You have to wind the dial on the film itself.
The lens is fairly pedestrian, with f3.5 and 80mm (the “standard” length for this movie-size), but, as with any decent medium format camera, the pictures are impressive.
