The Tunebug and other fun with NXT Technology
Some of you may remember, when I reported on Teac’s new iPod Docking Station the NXT flat speaker system. Since then I just keep running in NXT products. Last night, I opened the Soundbag that I got from the Sharper Image party, NXT and the logo was. This morning I had breakfast at the NXT at CES and I discovered another product, the Nifty’s NXT Surface Surround Sound technology. The Tunebug, designed by Global Silicon Valley, has the unique ability to any smooth surface into a loudspeaker.
To prove this, Dick Brown, president of Global Silicon Valley, in the Tunebug on a normal piece of cardboard. He held the box like a small diving board, and I could hear a clear sound as the flat surface into a loudspeaker.
The Tunebug has a Micro SD card can store up to 500 music files from up to five hours playtime. The company has shown me how Tunebug magnetically can be attached to a motorcyclist’s helmet, so that he or she can listen to music, how he or she go on the road. Not only can they play music independently, but it can be hooked up to an iPod and speakers.
Unfortunately, Silicon Valley Global was not able to give a date for this product. The only thing they say in their press kit is “Stay Tuned”.
