Altec Lansing Omni speakers
via Yanko Design
Altec Lansing is one of the biggest names in American audio history, it pained me to see once mighty brand sinking to the most cheap Chinese multimedia speakers. But if it ever goes into production, this new concept from designer Nuno Teixeira could Altec back to the top.
The Omni is a three-way design with rising firing driver, with a view to a 360-degree sound radiation by the kind of openness and large stage, you can not normally reach with a conventional forward radiating designs. The result is a stunning design that looks like the threat of international arms scare when U.S. satellite imagery detected North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il, the establishment of a couple in one of his palaces.
Still no word on pricing and availability.
